This is a numbered painting by Tom Bates, with a photo as well, of a Ring-Necked Pheasant. It is numbered 191 of 12,500. The description on the bottom right hand corner reads: "The Ring-Necked Pheasant was brought from Eurasia as a game bird and has been very successful in this role. One of the reasons for its popularity is its ability to elude even the most experienced hunter. They are large birds which can weigh five pounds and measure up to 36 inches. Like many other species, the male is more brightly colored than the female. They are not migratory birds and spend winters in established territories."The total picture measures approximately 13-1/2" by 11". It is in a black metal frame. Individually the pheasant painting measures 8" x 6-1/2" and was painted by Tom Bates. The photograph measures 2" by 3-1/4" and is copyrighted in 1995 by the State of MN Department of Natural Resources.In the informational box it also has "1995 KRSI"
